Service Rate (as of September 2nd, 2025):

Initial consultation (OT/PT/SLP) = $250

Initial consultation for Physiotherapy (privately paid with cash, debit, credit card, or extended health benefits) = $170

Subsequent visit 1:1 session (OT/PT/SLP/BCBA):

• 1hr subsequent visit = $170/HR

• *45min subsequent visit = $135

• *30min subsequent visit = $95

• *15min subsequent visit = $55

45min/30min/15min visits are booked with the approval of the therapist.

Indirect services (report writing and travel time) are based on the hourly rate of $170/HR.

Therapy Assistant 1:1 sessions (OTA/PTA/SLP-A/BCBA-A):

• 1hr subsequent visit = $95/HR

• *45min subsequent visit = $75

• *30min subsequent visit = $55

45min/30min visits are booked with the approval of the therapist.

Alex completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Throughout this training, she developed a strong foundation in child development and family-centred practice. During her clinical placement, Alex gained valuable experience in a private pediatric clinic, where she supported children in developing fine and gross motor skills, sensory regulation, and printing abilities. She worked with children with a wide range of developmental needs, collaborating closely with families to tailor interventions to each child’s unique strengths, goals, and learning styles.

She also completed a placement in the NICU and pediatric unit at Royal Columbian Hospital, where she supported premature and medically complex infants in acquiring oral feeding skills and receiving neurodevelopmentally supportive care. This experience deepened her passion for early development and reinforced the importance of partnering with families through education, empowerment, and compassionate support.

Currently, Alex works part-time in the acute care setting at Royal Columbian Hospital, helping adults safely transition home following injury, illness, or surgery.

Jasmyn is a dedicated speech-language pathologist who earned her master’s degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is registered with the BCCHCP and is on the RASP list. Fluent in both English and Punjabi, she is extensively trained and certified in Hanen’s More Than Words program, PROMPT training for children with apraxia, and gestalt language development.

She enjoys helping children and families reach their articulation, expressive language, receptive language, and social communication goals. Jasmyn is passionate about supporting children’s communication needs and has worked with children with a variety of backgrounds including Autistic children, children with Down syndrome, children with apraxia, AAC users, and children with other developmental delays. Her approach is play-based, client-centered, and neurodiversity-affirming, ensuring that each child’s unique strengths and needs are at the forefront of her therapy.

Helena holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience and a Master of Occupational Therapy, both from the University of British Columbia. Her path to becoming an Occupational Therapist was shaped by several years of experience supporting children and youth as a one-on-one support worker. She later worked as an employment consultant for adults with developmental disabilities, providing job coaching to help individuals find, adapt to, and maintain meaningful employment. These roles sparked her passion for empowering individuals to reach their full potential — a passion that naturally led her to a career in Occupational Therapy. After completing her OT degree, Helena began her practice in acute care, supporting adults with a range of medical conditions in a hospital setting. She soon transitioned to pediatrics, where she grew passionate for helping children achieve their goals and thrive in everyday activities. Since moving into pediatric practice, Helena has completed specialized training in DIR Floortime, Autism Matters, Toilet Training Success Academy, and numerous interoception and sensory processing courses by Kelly Mahler and other leaders in the field.

Helena brings a holistic, family-centered, and strengths-based approach to her work. Maddi has completed a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, a Master of Science degree in Experimental Medicine, and a Master of Physical Therapy degree at the University of British Columbia. While she was completing her physical therapy degree, she completed a placement at We Play, which only solidified her desires to pursue paediatrics. Following this placement Maddi decided to continue volunteering at We Play between semesters as she had so much fun. She has always had a passion for working collaboratively with children and their families to have a positive influence in their lives.

Since 2015, Maddi has been consistently involved with the Special Olympics Organization, primarily volunteering as a swim coach. She is very passionate about offering inclusive spaces to support equitable access to programming.

Growing up Maddi was a competitive swimmer and dancer. She continues to stay active by going to the gym, taking her dog for walks, and paddle boarding throughout the summer. Maddi also enjoys running and to date she has completed three half marathons.

Kim Graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology as well as a double minor in Criminology and Counselling/Human Development. Additionally she has completed 3 co-op terms at We Play Kids as a Care Coordinator and 1 co-op term at Delta Community Living Society as a vocational counsellor for youth with diverse abilities. Nina completed her degree in Occupational Therapy in Germany, and has been practicing as a Pediatric OT since 2002. She is passionate about supporting children of all ages to reach their full potential and work towards meaningful goals with a strong focus on strength based learning and evidence-based practice. Her approach revolves around empathy and collaboration, fostering safe spaces where children feel empowered to explore and thrive. She’s a firm believer in the power of play-based therapy, and creating strong partnerships with families and other professionals. Her practice has included working with children with a range of diagnosis, including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Sensory Processing Disorder, Developmental Coordination disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other genetic, neurological, and developmental conditions.

Fouziah completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Health & Society as well as her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Fouziah discovered her passion for working with children with diverse abilities while working at the daycares at the UBC childcare services. While pursing her degree, Fouziah has also worked as a behavioural interventionist and a youth support worker at private pediatric therapy centres throughout the lower mainland. In her graduate work, she focused on learning about the daily life experiences and impact of developmental coordination disorder on adolescents, from their own perspectives. She has experience working with youth from birth to age 18 and has worked with individuals with a range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, and complex mental health.

Carlie graduated from Simon Fraser University in the spring of 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Biomedical Physiology. As part of her undergraduate experience, she completed three semesters of co-operative education at the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation, where she contributed to research examining the the impact of exercise on long term patient outcomes following sepsis.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Carlie is passionate about working with children. She has been a dedicated mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for six years and has coached several soccer and softball camps for youth aged 4 to 15.

Morgan completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Behavioural Neuroscience with Co-operative Education from Simon Fraser University. Her passion for working with youth blossomed through coaching lacrosse for over 8 years and working as a Behaviour Interventionist for 2 years.

Morgan has worked in a variety of roles, including managing Office Administration at We Play Kids, acting as Billing Coordinator, and working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physiotherapy Assistant, Speech Therapy Assistant, and Group Lead in adapted social groups for children and youth aged 4-16.

Katie Metz completed her Occupational Therapy Master of Science (MScOT) program at the University of Alberta. In her graduate work, she focused on the study of creative arts interventions to address social-emotional learning and mental health promotion for children and youth. During this time, she also volunteered teaching yoga to children and adults. Katie has also taken over 450 hours of yoga teacher training and taught hundreds kid’s yoga classes in the Surrey School District. Through studying and teaching yoga, she has realized the value of mindful activity in advancing children’s coping abilities and self-awareness.

During her OT degree, Katie completed fieldwork at the Alberta Children’s Hospital outpatient therapy services. It was here that she gained experience offering sensory and fine motor assessment and intervention. She came to deeply value both family-centered practice and taking a strengths-based approach to pediatric therapy.

In her current practice, Katie deeply values collaborating with families to identify strategies that can help children learn and grow in everyday life. Crystal has worked with individuals with Autism, ADHD and social complexities in the lower mainland since 2004. She received her Master’s Degree in Autism Studies at the University of Kent in Canterbury in 2012 focussing on social skills therapies in educational settings. She became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) in 2013 after completing her Behaviour Analyst Certification Board coursework at Pennsylvania State University. She started practicing as a Behaviour Consultant (BCBA) and social group facilitator in 2013 in both in-home and in-clinic settings.

Crystal loves to work with individuals of all ages, believing that learning and skill acquisition are a continuous journey. She has extensive experience using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) as a science and lens to create behaviour-based therapies and supports that will facilitate meaningful growth in the daily lives of her learners and their families. Learners being able to use their skills independently out in the real world is the most important goal that drives Crystal’s work. Sharmaine holds a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Simon Fraser University and a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia. Sharmaine has always had a passion for helping children and families reach their goals, as she previously worked as an elementary and high school tutor and then as a behavioural interventionist in a kindergarten preparation program.

Since obtaining her master’s degree, she has worked with older adults in long-term care with a variety of diagnoses. Sharmaine has taken a course on interdisciplinary management of dysphagia and is excited to attend an upcoming CAOT webinar on adopting neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based approaches for pediatric autistic clients.

Maida is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC). She holds a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of British Columbia. She has experience working with clients across the age continuum in a variety of settings, and has particular interests in literacy (Orton-Gillingham approach), language development, speech sound production, dysfluency/stuttering empowerment, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and pragmatic language skills. Maida works with autistic clients from a neurodiversity-affirming lens, and believes in a strengths-based, child-led approach where competence is presumed, emotional and sensory needs are met, and multimodal communication is accessible.
